Jake Coulson
Jake is a Paralegal within the firm and supports the conveyancing team in a range of residential property matters. Jake holds a degree in Law from Bangor University and is currently completing the Legal Practice Course with the University of Law. Alongside his academic studies, he gained valuable practical experience within JW Hughes, developing a strong understanding of client-focused legal services. He is currently working towards qualification as a Solicitor.
Jake assists with a variety of residential property transactions and works closely with supervising solicitors to support matters from initial instruction through to completion. His work includes reviewing contract documentation, investigating title, raising enquiries, preparing reports and assisting with the progression of transactions.
Jake prides himself on his clear communication style and approachable manner with clients. He places a strong emphasis on explaining legal matters in a straightforward and practical way, helping clients feel confident and supported throughout what can often be an important and stressful transaction.
Jake’s Residential Property experience includes assisting with:
• Selling and purchasing residential freehold, leasehold, registered and unregistered property
• Advising on and drafting leases
• First registrations
• Transfers of equity
• Re-mortgages
• Applying to the Land Registry to register restrictions and charges
• Help to Buy schemes
• Reviewing title documentation
During his studies Jake developed a strong interest in advocacy and legal argument, having participated in a national mooting competition which culminated in presenting legal arguments at the UK Supreme Court.
Outside of work, Jake enjoys spending time with his family, learning about technology, and playing football and golf.
Jake is fluent in both English and Welsh and is pleased to assist clients in either language.
